“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind…”
Message
Transformation begins in the mind.
You cannot consistently live according to God’s truth while continually thinking according to the world’s patterns.
Every day, messages compete for your attention.
Some tell you that you are inadequate.
Others tell you that happiness comes from possessions, popularity or pleasure.
God’s Word tells a different story.
Renewing your mind means intentionally replacing lies with truth.
When fear says, “You cannot,” remember God’s strength.
When shame says, “You are worthless,” remember that Christ redeemed you.
When comparison says, “You need to become someone else,” remember that God intentionally created you.
What dominates your thinking eventually influences your living.
Fill your mind with truth.
Declarations
My mind belongs to Christ.
I reject every lie contrary to God’s Word.
My thoughts are being renewed.
I will think according to truth.
I will not conform to ungodly patterns.
God is transforming me from the inside out.
Prayer
Father, renew my mind.
Expose every lie I have believed about You, myself and my future.
Help me recognise thoughts that do not agree with Your Word.
Give me discipline concerning what I watch, listen to and allow to influence me.
Fill my thoughts with truth, purity, faith and wisdom.
Transform my life through the renewing of my mind.
