ADOPTED INTO GOD’S FAMILY
Key Scripture
“So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.” — Galatians 3:26
Devotional Message
One of the greatest blessings of salvation is not merely being forgiven; it is being adopted into the family of God. Through faith in Jesus Christ, you are no longer separated from God, nor are you left to navigate life alone. You have been welcomed into a loving relationship with your Heavenly Father.
Adoption is a beautiful picture of God’s intentional love. Unlike physical birth, adoption involves a deliberate choice. God chose to bring you into His family because He loves you and desires a relationship with you. You are not an afterthought. You are not merely tolerated. You are deeply loved and fully accepted.
Many people carry wounds from rejection, abandonment, or unhealthy family relationships. These experiences can distort their view of God. However, God is not like imperfect human parents. He is faithful, compassionate, patient, and loving. He never abandons His children, and His love never changes.
As a child of God, you have access to His presence, His promises, His wisdom, and His provision. You can approach Him with confidence, knowing that He cares about every detail of your life. When you pray, you are speaking to your Father. When you need guidance, your Father leads you. When you face difficulties, your Father strengthens you.
Living from the place of sonship or daughtership changes everything. Instead of striving to earn God’s approval, you live from the assurance that you already have it through Christ. Instead of fearing rejection, you rest in His acceptance. Instead of feeling alone, you walk with the confidence that your Father is always with you.
Today, remember who you are. You are not an orphan. You are not forgotten. You are a beloved child of God.
