God Gives Rest

Scripture
Matthew 11:28 (KJV)
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Devotional Message
Emotional pain is exhausting. Depression drains energy mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and even physically. Sometimes people become tired of pretending they are okay.

Jesus invites weary people to come to Him.

Notice that Jesus does not say, “Fix yourself first.” He simply says, “Come.” This invitation is for tired hearts, overwhelmed minds, discouraged souls, and emotionally burdened people.

The rest Jesus offers is deeper than sleep. It is soul-rest. It is peace in the middle of pressure. It is knowing you do not have to carry every burden alone.

Many young people carry hidden burdens: pressure to succeed, fear of failure, family problems, rejection, loneliness, trauma, insecurity, heartbreak, or disappointment. Jesus says you were never meant to carry all of it by yourself.

Today, release your burdens to God. Let Him carry what has become too heavy for you.

Declarations
Jesus is giving me rest.
I release my burdens to God.
I do not have to carry pain alone.
God is restoring my soul.
Peace is replacing emotional exhaustion.
My heart is finding rest in God’s presence.
I am not defeated by pressure.
God is strengthening me from the inside out.

Prayer
Jesus, I come to You today with every burden, fear, pressure, and emotional struggle. I am tired of carrying pain by myself.

Please give me rest for my mind and emotions. Teach me how to trust You with my worries instead of carrying them alone. Help me release anxiety, stress, fear, and emotional heaviness into Your hands.

Restore my joy. Restore my peace. Restore my emotional strength. Fill my heart with calmness and reassurance.

Thank You because You care about every detail of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
