Joy Comes Again
Scripture
Psalm 30:5 (KJV)
“Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.”
Devotional Message
Depression often convinces people that sadness will last forever. But God specializes in restoration.
The scripture does not deny the reality of weeping. Pain is real. Tears are real. Emotional struggles are real. But the verse also reminds us that pain is not permanent.
Morning eventually comes.
Healing may happen gradually instead of instantly, but God is still working. One conversation, one prayer, one breakthrough, one healthy decision, and one encounter with God can begin changing everything.
Your current emotions are not your final destination.
There will be laughter again. There will be peace again. There will be joy again.
God is able to restore what depression tried to steal.
Declarations
My season of sadness will not last forever.
Joy is returning to my life.
God is restoring my emotional health.
Hope is rising inside me.
Better days are ahead.
God is healing my heart.
I will smile again.
My future is brighter than my past.
Prayer
Father, thank You because sadness is not the end of my story. Even when healing feels slow, I trust that You are working in my life.
Restore the joy that depression tried to steal from me. Restore my hope, passion, energy, and emotional strength.
Help me believe again. Help me dream again. Help me live again.
I declare that darkness will not have the final word over my life because Your light is rising over me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
