A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

Message
One of the enemy’s favourite strategies is reminding believers of who they used to be.
Past mistakes.
Past sins.
Past relationships.
Past failures.
Past versions of ourselves that we wish we could forget.
But salvation introduces a powerful truth: you are not who you used to be.
When you belong to Christ, God begins a work of transformation within you.
Becoming a new creation does not mean you instantly become perfect. It means your identity and spiritual position have changed.
Your past may explain part of your story, but it does not determine your future.
God can redeem what was broken.
He can restore what was lost.
He can transform what once brought shame into a testimony of His grace.
Walking with Christ means learning to stop returning mentally to places from which God has already delivered you.
There may still be habits to overcome and areas where growth is needed, but you are walking forward with Christ.
Do not keep introducing yourself by your past when God calls you a new creation.

Declarations
I am a new creation in Christ.
My past does not control my future.
I am forgiven.
I am being transformed.
Old chains are breaking from my life.
I will not return to what God has delivered me from.
I am moving forward with Jesus.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for making me new.
I surrender my past to You—every mistake, regret, failure and painful memory.
Help me stop identifying myself by things You have forgiven.
Renew my mind and transform my character.
Give me strength to leave behind every habit, relationship, attitude and environment that tries to pull me away from You.
Let my life become evidence of Your transforming power.
I choose today to move forward with You.
